🗣Purpose

The MEP Engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in various construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.

🛑Responsibilities:

• Install and assemble MEP systems including electrical wiring, conduit, plumbing pipes, HVAC units, and other related equipment.
• Ensure proper installation and alignment of equipment according to blueprints and specifications.
• Run and terminate wires, conduit, and pipes according to electrical and plumbing codes.
• Install and connect control systems and sensors.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on MEP systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Identify and address potential safety hazards related to MEP systems.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.

🛑Requirements

• Diploma/B.Sc. in Electrical or Mechanical or any relevant field.

🛑Experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in MEP system, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Experience with energy audits and site surveys is a plus.

🛑Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in HVAC systems, electrical termination, and mechanical installation.
• Strong understanding of the installation procedures as per the standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Follow safety rules and report on safety issues.
• Prepare daily/monthly reports.

🛑Certifications:

• Relevant certifications in HVAC, or energy management are desirable.

🛑Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

🛑Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work on-site, including lifting and maneuvering equipment, and working in various environmental conditions.

🛑Work Environment:

• The role requires both office work and fieldwork, including site visits, inspections, and hands-on technical tasks.
• Occasional travel may be required depending on project locations.
